I like simplicity. I love the smell of wool and the feel of well worn denim. All of my cashmere sweaters have at least one moth hole. I knit with wooden needles but I swatch everything on a rambling and disorganized collection of vintage Boye aluminum needles given to me many years ago by a friend who thought I might want to learn to knit one day. My sewing machine is over 120 years old and I use it practically every day. It is my favorite tool, precise and indestructible despite the chipped paint. I am not perfect and I'm alright with that.

ReplyDeleteThanks Chris.Nice to 'meet' you as well! I did not make thisdress. It was a particularly awesome vintage find! Simple, clean lines are always classic and when I find a vintage piece like that in a natural fiber I snatch it up!
